Skills Workshops
Participants are neither tested nor bombarded with theories or meta-language in these workshops.
On the contrary, participants are allowed to mobilise their instinctive, cognitive language abilities in a hands-on approach, guidance, input and feedback from me, the “coach”.
Exam candidates are at a point where single language skills merit closer, focused schooling.
Aptitude for a language can't be based on a strength or weakness in a single skill but can be greatly improved by schooling those skills.
The four skills, inductive: listening, reading. Productive: speaking, writing.
Strengths in any one or more of these skills can vary greatly from candidate to candidate.
Some students find listening a relatively easy task whereas, the same student may have more, or even greater, difficulty in expressing themselves in different genres in writing.
Cambridge exam requirements in all four skills are clearly stipulated making it easier for students to focus on and improve single skills.
Just how these skills are honed both in and out of class is a core feature of my workshops.
These techniques are presented in a way to enable you, the participant, to effectively develop your skills autonomously. Regardless of whether currently on an exam course or considering doing an exam course, candidates can benefit from my workshops.
